Refund Policy
This policy explains refunds, cancellations and consumer protections for KaivosFocus Marketplace, Education and Pro purchases across supported countries and regions.

1. Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory cancellation right, refund entitlement or other legal protection that cannot lawfully be excluded. Mandatory laws applicable to a purchase take priority over any inconsistent provision in this policy, our Terms of Use or a creator's individual terms.
Remedies depend on the type of purchase, the customer's location, the applicable law and the circumstances. They may include repair, replacement, re-supply, price reduction, cancellation, refund or compensation.
2. Marketplace digital purchases
KaivosFocus Marketplace purchases may include photographs, videos, presets, LUTs and other downloadable digital content or licences. Product descriptions, selected licence rights and applicable prices are presented as part of the purchase process.
Where permitted by applicable law, we generally do not offer change-of-mind refunds once digital content has been made available to the buyer. This does not remove a cancellation right or other remedy that applicable law grants the buyer.
A customer may be entitled to a remedy if purchased content is unavailable, materially defective, materially misrepresented, not supplied as agreed, or if the licence rights purchased cannot be provided. The appropriate remedy will be determined according to applicable law and the circumstances.
3. Voluntary refunds and transaction fees
KaivosFocus may consider a voluntary refund outside circumstances where a refund is legally required. Approval is discretionary, subject to applicable law and any additional refund promise expressly made at purchase.
KaivosFocus does not automatically deduct its marketplace commission, payment-processing costs or an administration fee from a full refund. Where a full refund is legally required, the customer will not have our commission or internal processing costs deducted from that refund.
Any separate cancellation charge would need to be lawful, reasonable where required, and clearly disclosed and agreed before the relevant purchase. This policy does not itself introduce or authorise such a charge.
4. Australia
Australian customers retain all applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. These rights cannot be excluded by descriptions such as "no refunds", "digital purchase" or "final sale".
A change of mind alone does not normally create an automatic refund entitlement under the Australian Consumer Law. However, customers remain entitled to the remedies required by law when consumer guarantees are not met.
5. New Zealand
New Zealand customers retain applicable rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986. Consumer guarantees can apply to digital downloads and other digital products.
A change of mind does not ordinarily require a refund, but statutory remedies remain available when applicable guarantees are not met or the law otherwise provides a right to cancel.
6. European Union and European Economic Area
Consumers in the European Union and European Economic Area may have statutory withdrawal rights for online contracts, including a generally applicable 14-day period, subject to applicable exceptions and national rules.
For immediately supplied digital content not provided on a physical medium, a withdrawal right is lost only where the relevant legal requirements are met. These may include the consumer's prior express consent to immediate supply, an acknowledgement of losing the withdrawal right when supply begins, and confirmation of that consent and acknowledgement in the contract confirmation.
Merely accessing this policy or completing payment does not, by itself, establish a valid waiver of a statutory withdrawal right. If the required conditions have not been satisfied, the applicable withdrawal rights remain available.
Digital-content conformity rights, remedies for non-delivery, and any mandatory national protections remain unaffected. Rules for services, courses and subscriptions may differ from those for downloadable digital content.
7. United Kingdom
UK consumers retain applicable rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, as applicable.
The general 14-day cancellation framework and its exceptions may apply to distance purchases. For immediately supplied digital downloads, applicable rules require express consent, acknowledgement of losing the cancellation right, and confirmation of those matters before relying on that exception.
If these requirements are not met, KaivosFocus will not treat digital delivery alone as extinguishing a statutory cancellation right. Rights concerning faulty digital content and other mandatory remedies remain unaffected.
8. Japan
Purchases involving Japanese consumers are subject to applicable Japanese consumer protections, including relevant requirements under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions and applicable consumer contract laws.
Where required, online purchase information must clearly explain the trader's identity, price, payment arrangements, delivery or supply timing, cancellation conditions and relevant refund restrictions before the customer places an order.
Ordinary online purchases do not necessarily have a general change-of-mind cooling-off right. However, that does not remove remedies or cancellation rights arising under applicable Japanese law.
9. Singapore
Singapore consumers retain applicable protections under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and other relevant laws. KaivosFocus will not use this policy to exclude legal remedies for misleading practices, non-delivery or other conduct for which consumer relief is required.
There is no general voluntary change-of-mind refund promise for completed digital purchases, unless one is expressly offered or a legal right applies.
10. Canada
Canadian consumers retain applicable federal, provincial and territorial consumer protections. Rules governing internet agreements, mandatory purchase information, cancellation, delivery, contract confirmation and refunds can differ between provinces and territories.
Where a provincial or territorial law gives a customer a right to cancel because of non-delivery, missing mandatory disclosures, an inadequate contract confirmation or another protected circumstance, this policy does not remove that right. Any applicable refund deadlines will be respected.
Digital courses, ongoing teaching services and subscription agreements may also be subject to separate rules.
11. United States
United States customers retain applicable federal and state consumer protections, including requirements concerning truthful advertising, transaction disclosures, promised refund terms, non-delivery and recurring subscriptions.
Change-of-mind refund rights and cancellation requirements differ between states and types of transactions. KaivosFocus will honour any statutory right that applies to the purchase and any additional refund commitment expressly made to the customer.
12. Other countries and regions
KaivosFocus may be accessed internationally. Customers outside the countries and regions identified above retain any mandatory consumer rights applicable to their purchases.
Availability of a currency or access to the website does not mean that every product, service or checkout arrangement is necessarily offered or legally available in every jurisdiction. Additional country-specific requirements may apply.
13. Education purchases and creator services
Education purchases may include downloadable courses, learning materials, mentoring and other services. Different cancellation and refund rules may apply depending on whether the purchase concerns digital content, a scheduled service or ongoing instruction.
If a purchased service is not supplied as agreed, is materially misrepresented or otherwise fails to meet applicable legal requirements, the customer retains the remedies provided by law. Any cancellation conditions for a particular service must be disclosed before purchase where required.
14. Pro subscriptions
KaivosFocus Pro may involve recurring subscription payments. Subscription prices, billing periods, renewal arrangements and applicable cancellation terms must be presented before the customer subscribes.
Cancellation of an active subscription prevents future renewals once the cancellation takes effect under the applicable terms. Cancellation does not automatically create a refund for a completed billing period, except where required by law or expressly offered.
Customers retain all mandatory cancellation, withdrawal and refund rights, including any special rules applicable to automatic renewals in their jurisdiction.
15. Effect of marketplace refunds
When a marketplace purchase is fully refunded, the associated licence entitlement ends to the extent permitted by law and KaivosFocus may disable future authenticated downloads. Customers must not make new use of content under a licence that has been validly cancelled or refunded.
KaivosFocus cannot remotely erase previously downloaded files. Any rights concerning prior lawful uses or mandatory legal protections remain subject to applicable law.
Where only part of an order is refunded, rights associated with other valid, non-refunded purchases are not automatically cancelled.
16. Requesting a refund or cancellation
Customers seeking a refund should use the support or dispute contact information provided by KaivosFocus and identify the relevant order, the content or service purchased and the reason for the request.
We may request information reasonably needed to investigate a claim, but we will not impose unnecessary requirements that prevent customers from exercising statutory rights. Any legally required cancellation or refund deadline takes priority over our ordinary processing procedures.
Approved refunds will ordinarily be issued through the original payment method, where available and lawful. The time taken for refunded funds to appear may also depend on the payment provider and financial institution.
17. Disputes and chargebacks
Customers may contact KaivosFocus about a payment or delivery dispute. Nothing in this policy prevents customers from exercising lawful payment-card chargeback rights or making complaints to consumer protection authorities.
KaivosFocus may investigate disputes, review transaction records and coordinate with the relevant creator or payment provider while respecting mandatory consumer rights.
18. Policy changes
KaivosFocus may update this policy as services, legal requirements and supported markets change. Updated terms will be published on the website.
Changes do not retrospectively remove rights that customers acquired under applicable law or binding terms at the time of purchase.
